Christmas Letter from the Sheriff

December 21, 2023

Fellow Citizens of Camden County,

Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year! I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the men and women at the Camden County Sheriff's Office. 2023 has not been without its challenges. We have seen an increase in permanent residents and visitors to Camden County and with your help we have responded to this increase with professionalism and dedication. Each of our employees, from the jail kitchen staff to the records clerks, dispatchers, and deputies work hard every day to keep the sheriff's office operational and running smoothly. When you see them out and about in our community take a moment to meet them and give them your thanks for their efforts.

Many of you are spending Christmas with friends, family, and coworkers and I hope each of you has a safe and enjoyable holiday. I thank God for the gift of Jesus every day, but especially on Christmas Day. Please join me in keeping the true spirit of Christmas in your heart.

From myself, Chief Deputy Jim Brashear, and all the men and women at the Camden County Sheriff's Office, Merry Christmas. And as always, I am humbled and honored to continue serving as your sheriff.

Sincerely,

Tony R Helms

Sheriff, Camden County
