Restaurant Disturbance Leads to 1st Degree Assault Arrest

 Camdenton, MO, 05-02-22 - On Friday evening, 04-29-22, Camden County deputies were called to a restaurant in the 2000 block of State Road Y in Linn Creek for a disturbance.  According to the caller a man was threatening people with a firearm.

 

Upon arrival, deputies observed a white male in the parking lot involved in a verbal confrontation with employees and patrons of the restaurant.  Deputies detained the man, later identified as 61 year old Randall M Reid of Linn Creek.  Restaurant staff informed deputies they asked Reid to leave the restaurant multiple times during the evening.  Reid returned to the restaurant three times, bringing a pistol and a club and threatened to harm employees. 

 

Deputies recovered a wooden club approximately 4 feet long, a loaded .38 Special revolver, and a set of brass knuckles. 

 

Reid is charged with the Class B Felony of Assault 1st Degree or Attempt and the Class A Misdemeanor of Unlawful Possession, Transport, Manufacture, Repair or Sale of Illegal Weapon.

Reid was booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility where he is held without bond.

 

A reminder that these charges are merely allegations of wrongdoing.  All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
