Update: 1:45 pm

Detectives from the Camden County Sheriff's Office working with the Osage Beach Police Department have determined the stolen goods recovered in this morning's investigation at the Hawk's Nest Lodge originated in Osage Beach's jurisdiction.  Osage Beach Police have taken possession of the stolen items to return them to the rightful owners.

Camden County deputies now have two subjects in custody for their involvement in this investigation.  Both subjects are booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility awaiting charges from the prosecuting attorney and will be identified when those charges are filed.

We would like to thank our partners at the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group and the Osage Beach Police Department for their assistance.

Camdenton, MO, 05-13-22 - Camden County Sheriff's Deputies and detectives from the sheriff's office and Osage Beach Police Department are on scene at the Hawk's Nest Lodge in the 5600 block of Osage Beach Parkway.

At approximately 2:00 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Osage Beach Parkway near the motel. During the stop, the deputy suspected the presence of narcotics. Our K9, Deputy Zed, responded and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle. The drug investigation then led deputies to the Hawk's Nest Lodge where the driver of the vehicle was staying. Inside the motel room deputies discovered additional controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and located what appeared to be a large amount of stolen goods.

Deputies are coordinating with surrounding agencies to determine what jurisdiction these stolen goods may have come from. One person is currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing and will be updated.
