Motor Vehicle Accident Deer Valley Road (Sunrise Beach)

On June 22, 2011 at 10:21 PM Deputies from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported hit and run motor vehicle accident on Deer Valley Road Sunrise Beach area of Camden County.

Upon the first deputies arrival a 1996 Ford Taurus was located off the roadway in the ditch area of Deer Valley Road. The driver had fled into a nearby wooded area, and was located shortly thereafter. The 29 year old male subject from Versailles Missouri was arrested and is currently being held pending formal charges of leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries and Assault 2nd Injury Accident While Intoxicated.

Upon the second deputies arrival to the accident scene contact was made with the operator of 2001 Toyota Camry also involved in the accident.  A 29 year old female from Kansas City Missouri was arrested and is being held at the Camden County Adult Detention Center pending formal charges of Driving While Intoxicated, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (X2).

Two children were passengers in the 2001 Toyota Camry, a 9 month old female and a 10 year old female.  The 10 year old was transported to Lake Regional with minor injuries; the 9 month old was not injured.
