Sheriff Franklin is pleased to announce that the Camden County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded $196,461.03 in salary supplementation. The grant period begins July 1, 2013 and runs through June 30, 2014.

The DSSSF Grant is made available through the Missouri Department of Public Safety and is applied for annually. The funds are generated by a fee placed on civil process, which are served by sheriff’s offices across the state.

The grant allows the Sheriffs’ Office to supplement the deputy’s annual salaries without additional cost to the county’s budget. The grant covers the additional salary and all benefits associated with the increase.

Currently Camden County starts a patrol deputy at $26,622.96 and a corrections deputy at $21,665.28, the grant will supplement these salaries up to $28,000.00 annually. Any deputy whose salary currently exceeds $28,000.00 will receive a $100.00 monthly supplement.
