Power Lines Down Sunrise Beach

Semi truck struck a power line at the intersection of Missouri Highway 5 and Lake Road 5-33.

The power line fell across the roadway and on top of a parked, unoccupied car in the parking area of the Hurricane Deck Elementary School. The school was evacuated do to the smell of smoke inside the building.

The roadway is now open to traffic; Co Mo Electric has resolved the issue with the downed line, Sunrise Beach Police and Fire are still on the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
