On 01/23/16, deputies from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 600 block of Warbonnet Drive in Roach on a reported domestic disturbance.

 

Witnesses on scene informed deputies 30 year old John Ross Minx of Springfield was intoxicated and had assaulted a family member. Minx then took a kitchen knife from inside the residence and chased that family member into the surrounding woods. Camden County deputies and troopers from the MSHP searched the wooded area until they found the family member who then informed them Minx was still in the woods and may have passed out. Shortly thereafter deputies located Minx and took him into custody.

 

Minx was transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and is charged with the Class D Felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and the Class A Misdemeanor of 3rd Degree Domestic Assault. He is being held without bond and will appear before the court on February 23rd.
