Narcotics Arrest

In the early morning hours of Thursday, February 11, 2016 Camden County sheriff’s deputies and representatives from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group conducted a traffic stop of a suspected drug dealer north of Camdenton.

The Osage Beach Police Department assisted by responding to the scene with their narcotics detection dog who alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed several plastic baggies containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia used in the distribution and consumption of controlled substances.

Arrested at the scene was 35 year old Joseph Louis Mayer of Sunrise Beach. Mayer was transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and is charged with the Class B Felony of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance. Mayer is being held on a $2000.00 cash only bond.
