Drug Bust Lands Camdenton Woman in Jail

On Wednesday, May 25th, members of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group and deputies from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Camdenwood Drive.

 

While serving the search warrant, authorities located methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana, and several items of drug paraphernalia used in the distribution and consumption of controlled substances.

 

Arrested at the scene was 28 year old, Chelsea Rae Ellis, of Camdenton. Ellis was transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and is charged with six felonies including:

Class B Felony of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute;

Class C Felony of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana;

Class C Felony of possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of synthetic cannabinoid;

Class C Felony of deliver/attempt to deliver controlled substance into a correctional facility;

and two count of the Class C Felony of endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs.

Ellis is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond and will appear before the court on June 28th.
