Macks Creek Man Charged in Sexual Abuse Investigation

An investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse that began in February of 2015, has culminated in the arrest of a Macks Creek man now charged with thirteen felonies.

 

Deputies began an investigation into then 39 year old Robert Reynolds Taylor, of Macks Creek, when the Department of Social Services Children’s Division requested assistance from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. According to the Children’s Division investigators the allegations of abuse spanned several years and may have included several family member victims. The victims describe Taylor sexually abusing them as early as six years of age with the abuse continuing for many years. None of the victims will be identified.

 

Taylor was located at residence in Eldon, Missouri on Saturday, July 2nd, after Camden County detectives received information he was in the area for the Independence Day weekend. Deputies from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office assisted in taking Taylor into custody at which point he was transferred into the custody of the Camden County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility.

 

Taylor is charged with thirteen counts of Felony 1st Degree Statutory Sodomy – Deviate Sexual Intercourse With a Person Less than 14 Years of Age. He is being held without bond and will appear before the court on August 2nd.
