 LAKE AREA NARCOTICS ENFORCEMENT GROUP ANNOUNCES QUARTERLY AMOUNTS OF DRUG SEIZURES

 

The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG) is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force which serves Camden, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede, Maries, and Osage Counties.  Additionally, the task force serves the cities of Lebanon, Osage Beach, Camdenton, Cuba, Hermann, Steelville, Bourbon, and Belle.  The task force encompasses six counties with an approximate population of 142,000 residents.  LANEG employs five (5) Task Force Officers and is coordinated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, who supplies one (1) Trooper to the task force.  LANEG focuses their efforts on drug enforcement by conducting both covert and overt narcotics investigations in the counties and cities they serve.

 

The task force reported the following amounts of drug seizures as a result of its enforcement efforts in the previous quarter (January 1, 2017 - March 31, 2017):

 

Methamphetamine -- 135.7 grams

Cocaine -- 1.5 grams

Heroin -- 12 grams

Marijuana -- 485.5 grams

Indoor Marijuana grows -- 1

Synthetic drugs -- 12.5 grams

Prescription drugs/pills -- 251.5 doses

 

During the previous quarter (listed above), LANEG also disassembled three (3) methamphetamine drug laboratories and dump sites, served twenty-seven (27) search warrants, conducted twenty-six (26) consent searches, seized twelve (12) firearms, and arrested sixty-three (63) individuals on one hundred and eighty-seven (187) drug related charges.  In addition, LANEG made six (6) Felon in Possession of Firearm, six (6) Endangering the Welfare of a Child and forty-two (42) warrant arrest, these non-drug related charges include but are not limited to the above sixty-three (63) individuals.
