Rabies and Chipping a Success at Dogwood Animal Shelter

10/02/2017

The rabies and microchipping clinic held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Dogwood Animal Shelter was a big hit with nearly 150 animals receiving rabies vaccinations and microchipping.  Many animal owners asked for the additional vaccinations to ensure their animals continued health.  The additional vaccinations were at the owners expense.

The cat that Animal Control Officer Mike Stoufer is holding, is one of two that were left abandoned with no food or water at a residence in Camden County.  They were adopted by a really nice lady who brought them to the clinic and also made arrangement to have them spayed and neutered.

All animals brought to the clinic were microchipped and given their vaccinations.  If the owners showed proof of current vaccinations their animal was able to benefit from the microchipping.

The next clinic will be on October 28, 2017 at the Cat and K-9 Clinic (Staff).
