ARREST FLOYD R. WELSH

On 4/24/2018 at approximately 3:27 am, Camden County Deputies responded to a noise complaint at a residence in the area of the 400 block of Whispering Valley Road.

 

Upon deputy’s arrival, a subject known by deputies as, Floyd R. Welsh, age 56, of Camdenton, was seen driving a silver Chevrolet pickup through the yard of the residence.  As one of the deputies exited his vehicle, Welsh, accelerated nearly striking the Deputy.   Welsh then fled the scene towards Spencer Creek Road.  The vehicle was seen traveling at an excessive rate of speed, weaving from side to side for approximately three miles.  Welsh, lost control, sliding off the roadway and impacting several trees.

 

Welsh fled on foot through a wooded area.  Because the suspect was known, warrants were applied for and obtained.  Welsh was located on the evening of 4/24/2018 and additional charges may be forthcoming.

 

At this time Welsh is being held on a no bond warrant:

 

Count 1 – Committed a Class A Felony of assault 1st Degree by causing or attempting to cause serious physical injury

 

Count 2 – Committing a Class E Felony of resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing – creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person.
