The Camden County Sheriff's Office as well as many other Law Enforcement Agencies have received reports of fake friend requests through social media.  That is why it is so important not to friend request or acknowledge people you don't know.

If you receive and accept a friend request from someone posing as a person you have already friended or know, the fake friend may have access to your personal information.  

I personally have received friend requests from friends and relatives  I have already friended.  Friends and relatives have also contacted me and advised that they have received new friend requests from me. 

If you have any concerns, don't click and accept.  The profile may have been cloned.  If you attempt to unfriend the fake, you may have a difficult time doing so.
