Motorcycle Pursuit

03/26/2012

On Sunday, March 25, 2012 at approximately 11:30 PM a Camden County deputy was travelling south bound on Missouri 5 in the area of the Niangua Bridge. The deputy checked a northbound red motorcycle on radar at 90 MPH. The deputy activated his emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the motorcycle. As the deputy approached the junction of Missouri 5 and 7, the motorcycle accelerated rapidly as it turned onto Missouri 7. The deputy was able to keep the motorcycle in sight and as the deputy approached the Missouri 7 and State Route J intersection, the deputy noticed the motorcycle pull into a quick shop parking lot. When the deputy approached the quick shop the motorcycle again sped away and turned onto Iron Town Road. The deputy lost sight of the motorcycle until he approached the intersection of Iron Town and Destiny Lane. Where the deputy found the motorcycle had crashed into a fence. The deputy administered first aid until medical and fire personnel arrived on the scene.
