Spring 2023 Letter from Sheriff Helms

April 1, 2023

Fellow Citizens of Camden County,

Spring is upon us and that means our beautiful home will start getting busy with visitors from all over the country coming here to enjoy the fun things available at the Lake of the Ozarks many of us take for granted.  As always I and the men and women of the Camden County Sheriff's Office stand ready to respond to an increased call load with dedication and professionalism.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  My deputies and I want you all to know that nothing is more important to us than the protection of the public and that calls for service involving children stick with us for years on end.  I hope each of you will reach out to us when needed to report child abuse and neglect.

This Spring please practice safe boating, enjoy yourself fishing on the Lake, and drive carefully in the inevitable increasing traffic.  From myself, Chief Deputy Jim Brashear, and all the men and women at the Camden County Sheriff's Office, have a wonderful Spring season.  And as always, I am humbled and honored to continue serving as your sheriff.

Sincerely,

Tony R Helms

Sheriff, Camden County
