Nelson refused to stop his 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche and led deputies on a pursuit along several county roads before crashing his vehicle into a creek. After a brief foot chase, deputies took Nelson into custody.

Nelson is charged with the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Class E Felony of Resisting Arrest, and the Class A Misdemeanor of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Nelson was booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility where he is held without bond on these charges and outstanding warrants.
