Laclede County Men Charged in Montreal Burglary

 

Camdenton, MO, 08-11-22 - At approximately 9:00 pm Monday evening, 08-09-22, Camden County Deputies responded to a residence off State Road BB in Montreal on reported suspicious activity.  The caller notified Communications Officers several people were loading items from a barn and a home nearby and that the owner of the property was in St Louis. 

Upon arrival, deputies discovered several subjects loading items into different vehicles.  During their investigation, deputies located evidence that put several of the subjects inside the home and inside the barn.  None of the subjects could identify who the owner of the property was and none of the subjects could explain why they were on the property.

 

While five subjects were arrested at the scene, two have been charged.  The other three subjects have been released pending further investigation. 

 

Jeffrey A Jones, 44, of Lebanon was booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and charged with the Class D Felony of 2nd Degree Burglary and the Class D Felony of Stealing. He is being held without bond.

 

Bobby L Alford, 44, of Lebanon was booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and charged with the Class D Felony of 2nd Degree Burglary and the Class D Felony of Stealing.  He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

A reminder that these charges are merely allegations of wrongdoing. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
