Search Warrant in Linn Creek Leads to Drug Charges

Camdenton, MO, 09-07-22 - Early Tuesday morning, 09-06-22, Camden County Sheriff's Deputies and Task Force Officers from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group served a search warrant at a residence on Walnut Street in Linn Creek.

 

As a result of the search warrant, law enforcement officers recovered and seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia commonly used in the distribution and consumption of controlled substances.

 

Arrested at the scene were Michael L Hartwell, 41; Travis R McGuire, 33; Zachary F Vize, 43; and Jayme N Mitchell, 45.  All four were transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and have since been charged with multiple offenses.

 

Hartwell has been charged with the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Class A Misdemeanor of Possession of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and the Class A Misdemeanor of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Prior Drug Offense.  Hartwell also had outstanding warrants for his arrest on previous drug offenses.  He is being held without bond.

 

McGuire has been charged with the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Class D Misdemeanor of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. McGuire also had outstanding warrants for a Probation Violation.  He is being held without bond.

 

Vize has been charged with the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Class D Misdemeanor of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Vize also had an outstanding warrant for Failing to Appear.  He is being held on a $25,000 bond.

 

Mitchell has been charged with the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She was released on her own recognizance.

A reminder that these charges are merely allegations of wrongdoing. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
