Fentanyl Bust in Lake Ozark

Camdenton, MO - 08-17-23 - This week, deputies from the Camden County Sheriff's Office, task force officers from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, and troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated suspected drug trafficking in the Lake Ozark area of Camden County.

On Tuesday, 08-15-23, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a suspected drug trafficker.  During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered 140 capsules of fentanyl in the trunk of the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old Kevin P Erdelen Jr, of Four Seasons, was arrested at the scene.

Erdelen was transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and is charged with the Class A Felony of 1st Degree Drug Trafficking.  He is being held without bond.

A reminder that these charges are merely allegations of wrongdoing. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
