License Plate Recognition Helps CCSO Recover Another Stolen Vehicle

Camdenton, MO - 12-11-23 - Saturday afternoon, 12-09-23, a Camden County deputy working a patrol shift received a notification from the FLOCK Safety License Plate Recognition camera operated by the Missouri Department of Public Safety.  The notification indicated a stolen black Lincoln was in the area and gave the license plate number.  The deputy responded to the area but was unable to locate the vehicle at that time.

 

FLOCK Safety sent another alert at approximately 8:47 pm indicating the vehicle was in the area.  The deputy responded to the area and observed the black Lincoln driving Eastbound on US 54 just East of the Square.  The deputy initiated a traffic stop and took two people into custody at 8:53 pm..  The investigation revealed the vehicle was reported stolen by a man in Eldon on December 1st.  Both suspects were transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility.

 

Heather M Jackson, 46, of Eldon is charged with the Class D Felony of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and is being held on a $50,000 surety bond.

 

Blake A Larson, 27, of no fixed address, is also charged with the Class D Felony of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and is being held on a $25,000 surety bond.

A reminder that these charges are merely allegations of wrongdoing. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
