Fugitive Apprehended

In August of 2009, in the 5800 block of Old Route Five, Camdenton, James Lee Miller Jr attacked his niece's boyfriend with a baseball bat, causing serious injury.  He was subsequently charged with Assault 2nd Degree.  In 2011, Miller failed to appear at his jury trial and has been a fugitive since.  On May 12, 2015, James Lee Miller Jr, was arrested by the Horry County Police Department in South Carolina.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau, along with multiple other agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Myrtle Beach Police Department in South Carolina, and the Horry County Police Department in South Carolina, accomplished this arrest through exhaustive investigations work and extraordinary interagency relations by all agencies involved.
