02/09/2017 Drug Arrest Horseshoe Bend Parkway |

On 2/8/2017 at approximately 8 pm, while on patrol of the Horseshoe Bend Parkway, Camden County Sheriff's Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a gold Mercury Mariner. While speaking with the driver, a 30 year old w/f from Kansas City, Mo., a strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from the interior of the vehicle. The driver produced an invalid Colorado driver's license. A search of the vehicle was conducted and over 12 ounces of marijuana, (some prepackaged for sale), Zip-lock baggies, scales and other drug paraphernalia was found. The woman was taken into custody on a 24 hour hold and is being held in the Camden County Detention Center. More information will be provided after formal charging. EOR
