Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Quarterly Drug Seizure

The Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG) is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force which serves Camden, Crawford, Gasconade, Laclede, and Maries Counties.  The task force also serves the cities of Lebanon, Camdenton, Cuba, Steelville, Hermann, and Belle.  LANEG employs five task force officers and is coordinated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, who supplies two Troopers to the task force.  LANEG focuses its efforts on drug enforcement in the counties and cities they serve.

The task force reported the following amounts of drug seizures as a result of its enforcement efforts in the previous quarter (July 1, 2018 through September 30, 2018)

Methamphetamine - 1,346.8 grams
Marijuana - 11,103.5 grams
THC Wax - 31 grams
Cocaine - 35 grams
Ecstasy/MDMA - 21 grams
Pseudoephedrine - 312 grams
Prescription drugs/pills - 72.5 doses

During the quarter, LANEG also disassembled two meth labs, six marijuana grows, served 36 search warrants, conducted 17 consent searches, seized 78 firearms, and arrested seventy-one individuals on one hundred and ninety-two drug related charges.  In addition, LANEG made 8 felon in Possession of Firearm, 3 Possession of Stolen Property and 12 warrant arrests.  The non-drug related charges include but are not limited to the above 71 individuals.
