If you receive an email purporting to be from the IRS, don't open it, DELETE IMMEDIATELY.  It contains a virus.  The ones we have received here at the Sheriff's Office read - IRS - Wage and Income Transcript and IRS Tax Return Transcript. 

Avoid becoming a victim, don't fall for scams and only open emails and other attachments from a known sender.
