Drug Investigation

During the evening hours of January 2, 2019, Officers of the Camden County Sheriff’s Office traveled to a residence in Montreal to locate a person of interest pertaining to an ongoing fraud / identity theft investigation.

During the investigation, Deputies obtained a consent to search the residence for the suspect, and during the sweep of the residence, officers observed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in plain view.

The residence was secured pending application of a search warrant and LANEG was contacted to assist with the drug investigation.  In the early morning hours of January 3, 2019, a search warrant was applied for, granted, and executed.

As a result of the search warrant, methamphetamine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, five Buprenorphine Hydrochloride tablets (Schedule III controlled substance), marijuana, and drug paraphernalia used in the distribution and consumption of controlled substances were seized.

One white male was arrested on the above related charges and transported to the Camden County Jail. Per the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney, one white male and two white females were released with charges pending.
