On August 12, 2018, Deputy Strom received a report of the parental kidnapping of Braedence Jones, age 6, by his biological mother, Aubrey Ferguson. There were many hurdles to overcome and disappointments along the way.  For five months, Deputy Strom pursued this case, never giving up.  On January 8, 2019, Braedence was located at a residence in Laclede County, largely due to  interdepartmental communication, cooperation, and tenacity of Deputy Strom.
