Arrest - Felony

On 4/4/2019 at approximately 12:30 pm, Camden County Deputies, Fire and Ambulance personnel, responded to a residence on Storm Ridge Road, Macks Creek, reference a disturbance in progress.

While enroute, Deputies were advised that a man and woman had set the victim's vehicle on fire and were attempting to do the same to the occupied residence.  As deputies responded they were further advised that the female suspect sprayed one of the victims with lighter fluid and attempted to set him on fire.  The victims were not injured and the suspect was unsuccessful in setting the residence on fire.

Three people occupied the residence including an 8 month old child.

The car fire was extinguished prior to deputies arrival.  It was also learned that the male, initially reported as the second suspect, was not involved in the setting or attempted setting of the fires.

Taken into custody was Norma Rogers age 67 of Macks Creek.  Rogers has been charged with:

Count 1 - Committing a Class B Felony of Arson 1st Degree

Count 2 - Committing a Class B Felony of Assault 1st Degree

Count 3 - Committing a Class B Felony of Assault 1st Degree

Count 4 - Committing a Class B Felony of Assault 1st Degree

Count 5 - Committing a Class D Felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Creating Substantial Risk - 1st Degree

Count 6 - Committing a Class E Felony of Knowing Burning 

Rogers is being held in the Camden County Adult Detention Center on a $250,000,00 cash only bond.
