On 5/14/2019 at approximately 2:24 pm, CCSO was contacted reference a suspicious package wrapped in tin foil that was left at the mailbox of a residence in the 15000 block of North State Hwy 5 in Sunrise Beach.  CCSO Deputy remained on scene with Sunrise Beach PD personnel to secure the area.  

The Missouri State Hwy Patrol Bomb Squad was contacted.

Fire Marshal, Sunrise Beach Fire and Lake West Ambulance stood by until the package could be checked by bomb squad personnel. 

At approximately 3:58 pm, the roadway was blocked so that the package could be examined.  At approximately 4:00 pm the package was determined to be safe and the roadway was reopened.
