The Camden County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring for the position of deputy sheriff.  We are accepting applications from Missouri POST certified law enforcement officers to fill several openings available in the Patrol Division, the Corrections Division, and in Court Security.

We are also accepting applications for non-sworn positions in the Corrections Division, Records Division, and Communications Division.

Applicants for non-sworn positions must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  A background investigation will be conducted. Drug testing is a requirement for employment.  

Employment benefits include, but are not limited to, health and life insurance for employee, retirement benefits, holiday and sick days. Shift work is required.  A pre-employment application must be signed and dated to be considered for employment.

Patrol Deputy and Corrections Deputy (Sworn):

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  All applicants must complete a written test and oral interview.  Applicants must also have, or be able to obtain, a Missouri P.O.S.T. certification by appointment date.  A background investigation will be conducted including, but not limited to, polygraph or CVSA testing.  Drug testing is a requirement for employment.  Employment benefits include, but are not limited to, health and life insurance for employee, retirement benefits, holiday and sick days.  Shift work is required for sworn patrol and corrections positions.  A Pre-employment application must be on file with the Sheriff's Office.  Please download  the employment application and fill it out completely.  Make sure that the Authorization page is completed and signed.  Incomplete documents will not be considered for further processing.
